Obituary of Joyce Greame

Joyce Greame of Vestal Joyce Greame, 89, of Vestal, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William H. Greame, Vestal; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jan DeVries, Bradenton, FL, Sandra and Bruce Barrett, Vestal; the loves of her life, her two grandchildren, Todd and (Holly) Barrett, West Chester, Ohio and Stacie and (Jeff) Taylor, Vestal; also the other loves of her life, her three great-grandchildren, Owen and Sadie Barrett and Madelyn Taylor. She is survived by her family in England along with a brother-in-law and sister-in-law and nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Joyce was born in England where she met her husband, an American G.I. They married after the war and came to start their new life in America. She was a member of the Vestal United Methodist Church and the "English Club". She served in the Land Army in England during WWII. A Funeral Service for Joyce will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010, at the Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St., Vestal. The Rev. Mary Ricketts, Co-Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in her memory to Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
