He built several houses and also renovated the landmark Lighthouse at the comer of Nanticoke and Main in Union, tuning an abandoned gas station into a modem office. He restored the historic Gaige House on Binghamton's south side and the Grange Hall on Hawthorne Street in Vestal, which was the family's residence for some years. His last project was building a cottage on Owasco Lake. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Viola Haskell; his father Robert D. Haskell and his sister, Beverly. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Haskell of Vestal; son, Rob (Rene) Haskell and their children, Robert, Christian, and William; son, Jesse (Brenda) Haskell of St. Mary's, Georgia, Jesse's son, Taylor Haskell; nephews, James (Debbie) Blakeney, Kevin Blakeney and niece, Jill Blakeney; and many special friends.
