Obituary of Richard Franklin Briggs

Richard "Dick" Briggs Richard "Dick" Briggs, 88, passed away peacefully at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford NY. Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nina Irene Briggs; two daughters, Hazel (William) Wallace of Wedgefield, SC and Penny Briggs (John Harrington) of Binghamton, NY; two grandsons, one granddaughter, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Richard is also survived by three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. The family would like to thank the NYS Veterans Home, especially the Hawthorn unit staff, for their loving care to Richard for the past three years. Burial will be at the family's discretion in Apalachin at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Dick's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 W.
