Obituary of Susan Wagner

Susan Fredericka Wagner Little Meadows, PA: Susan Fredericka Wagner, age 70, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 2, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her father, Frederick Ashcraft; her sisters, Lucinda Ashcraft and Patricia Bryant; her son-in-law, Paul Motsko II; her in-laws, Joseph George and Mary Ellen Wagner; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Wagner and Francis Wagner. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, George Wagner, and her beloved children and grandchildren, Barbara and John Haskins, of Apalachin, NY, Jean Motsko of Little Meadows PA, Sharon and Daniel Abell of Warren Center PA, Judy and Bill Delaney of Apalachin, NY and John Charles Wagner of Warren Center, PA; 7 grandchildren, Daniel Preston, Madalyn and Anna Delaney, Jacquelyn, Benjamin and Samuel Abell, Paul Motsko III; and great-grandson, Keegan Preston. Also survived by her mother, Norma Ashcraft, Little Meadows, PA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Sarah Ashcraft, Little Meadows, PA and Gene and Linda Ashcraft of Fleming, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Burt Baldwin of Little Meadows, PA; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frieda and John Platt; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Barbara Williams of Warren Center, PA; and her employees and friends at Wagner's General Store in Warren Center PA and her special cat, Tex. She was a long-standing member of the Little Meadows United Methodist Church where she formed many close friendships, including her Pastor, Paul Reed. She was the owner of Wagner's General Store in Warren Center, PA. She loved gardening, bird watching, crossword puzzles and was an avid New York Yankee fan. She enjoyed spending time at her home loving and caring for her family. A special thanks to the employees and friends at the store for their care and concern. The family would like to thank Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY for their love and trusted care, especially Dr. Jonathon Friedberg, Lynn Rich and Anna Morrison, and also to the Lourdes Oncology, especially Dr. Sheth and staff. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 6519 State Route 434, Apalachin, NY. The Reverend Paul Reed, Pastor of her church, will officiate. A Private Burial will be in the Ashcraft Family Cemetery in Little Meadows, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Little Meadows United Methodist Church or to the Little Meadows Volunteer Emergency Squad.
