Daniel J. McDermott Daniel J. McDermott, born August 25, 1951, passed away on Friday with his loving family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Hertha McDermott; birth mother, Anna May Stead; mother-in-law, Grace M. Schneider. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 40 years, Marsha K. McDermott; daughters, Crystal K. McDermott (Mike Frederick) of Albany, NY, Shannon M. Zacharias (Jeffry Zacharias) of Endicott, NY; brothers, Charles McDermott (Linda), Mike McDermott (Dottie), Arthur McDermott (Marla Doan); sisters, Peggy Paciorek (Jim), Heretha McDermott, Christina Miller; father-in-law, Adolph G. Schneider. A retired technical writer and linguist of 35 years, he enjoyed music and the arts, history, photography, and every bit of time with his daughters. A funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. from Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Ave. Endicott. Burial will take place at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY. The family will receive friends at Central United Methodist Church Monday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
