Obituary of Elizabeth J. Seward

Elizabeth (Betty) J. Seward Elizabeth (Betty) J. Seward, 89, of Apalachin, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2013. Betty was predeceased by her parents Lela and Phineas Ace, one brother Elwood Ace. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Fred Seward, Apalachin; one son and daughter-in-law, Darryl (Robin) Seward, Nichols, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Betty worked at the Old Apalachin Pharmacy for many years and later at Burts on the Avenue. She enjoyed decorating especially for the holidays and loved family gatherings. Betty loved life and her family but had two special loves in dogs and chocolate. She will be missed by all especially her friends, The Riley's, The Ninnies, Dorothy Shear and Stella Ferguson. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home, West Wing South 1 & 2 for their care. A memorial service will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Rt. 434, Apalachin, on Thursday at 2 p.m. Pastor Dale Austin will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 401 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY 13760, or to a charity of one's choice.
