Obituary of Evelyn B. Miller

Evelyn B. Miller, 91, went to her Savior surrounded by her loving family at her home on December 6, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband Carlton, son Gerald, two grandchildren, her sister and two brothers. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Miller, Oswego, NY, Marilyn Miller (Michael Burns), Afton, NY, Joann Vallequette (Mark), Endicott, NY; eight grandchildren, Tanya Miller, Brett Miller (Kaya), Shane Miller, Lisa Endres-Cambridge (Vern), Jamie Cole, Christy Lokietck (Matt), Anna Banks (Mike), Alizabeth Leva; 13 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Evelyn was a nurse at Wilson Memorial Hospital from 1969 until she retired in 1985. She was longtime member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church in Vestal where she had many dear friends. Evelyn enjoyed helping others, knitting, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family. Special thanks to neighbors Jim, Billy, Cathy, Jerry, Alice and Sow who played an invaluable role in enabling Evelyn to remain in her home and to the Hospice staff. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, 729 Main St. Vestal, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert Hammaker, Pastor of her Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest. The family will receive friends at the church, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, 729 Main St. Vestal, NY 13850.
