I had the good fortune to know Kelly while she was a doctoral student at SHSU. Even among many very bright and talented students, she stood out as being one of the most intellectually curious and driven students I've seen. We loved having her in our College of Criminal Justice and were also very happy to see her search, and find, the right academic fit during these early years of her professional career. We are grateful for her presence while on earth and are saddened that she wasn't with us even longer.
