Obituary of Robert L. Vinson

Robert Lawrence Vinson Apalachin: Robert Lawrence Vinson, 80, of Apalachin, passed away on February 2, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. Bob is predeceased by his mother, Louise Fargnoli; stepfather, Tony; and brother, Floyd Vinson. He is survived by his loving wife, Lavanne; children, Robert (Lisa) Vinson Jr. of Vestal, Michael (Shirley) Vinson of Warren Center, PA, Rodney Vinson of Apalachin and Gordon Vinson of Johnson City; grandchildren, Jaime (Michael) Chappell of Fort Mill, SC, Matthew (Kara) Vinson of Fort Mill, SC, Erica Vinson of Endwell, Megan Vinson of Johnson City, Gordon Vinson Jr. of Uniontown, PA; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Vinson of Fort Mill, SC; stepsister, Lynn (Glenn) Martin of Nichols, NY; stepbrother, Anthony (and friend, Shelly) Fargnoli of Chenango Forks, Raymond (Anne) Fargnoli of Apalachin, Gary (Connie) Fargnoli of Whitney Point, Richard Fargnoli of Council Bluffs; twin stepsisters, Mary and Milfred Bronson; sister-in-law, Rose Vinson of Omaha, NE; and several cousins. Bob served proudly in the US Air Force for four years. He was a longtime Heavy Equipment Operating Engineer for several local construction companies. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main Street, Vestal, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. At Bob's request, there will be no funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
