Obituary of Minka Rising

Minka M. Rising, 95 of Vestal went to be home with her Lord on February 12, 2014. She was pre-deceased by her husband James Sr. and son Charles. Surviving Minka are her son, James (Judy); daughter, Carol; grandchildren, Ruth, David (Sandra), Peter (Nichole), Lyndell, Jeremy (Karen), Christina (Tom), Tim (Michelle); and 12 great grandchildren. Minka was a devoted member of the Ross Corners Baptist church. She loved to cook for her family and always had a steady food supply for everyone. The family would like to thank the staff at Vestal Park Nursing Home for their exceptional care. A memorial service will be held Friday February 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St Vestal. A short calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make any contribution to Ross Corners Christian Academy or Bethesda Outreach International Inc. (BOI.org).
