Obituary of Elsie M Thorp

Elsie Marie (Wood) Thorp Of Vestal Elsie Marie (wood) Thorp, 83, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 23, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Helen Wood; two brothers and a sister, Claude Jr., Rena, and Louie. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Elwood Thorp, Vestal; two daughters, Janet Rafferty, Apalachin, Debra and Jerry Hares, Auburn; grandchildren, Brian and Kristen Rafferty, Lisa and Kyle Hares; great-grandson, Christopher, several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ellen Goltry and Gladys Clemens. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at the Tower of Memories at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family weill receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, Thursday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad, 324 Myrtle St., Vestal, NY 13850
