Ronald G. Garringer
Of Endicott
Ronald G. Garringer, 71, of Endicott, died peacefully at his home Thursday morning, August 30, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Garringer; his stepmother, Ruth Garringer; and a brother, Paul Garringer. He is survived by his loving wife Priscilla (Wheeler) Garringer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Paul Braden, and Amy and Glenn Nichols; two granddaughters, Caroline Negros-Allen, Jacqueline Parkes; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Marleen Garringer, and Thomas and Virginia Garringer. He was born April 24, 1936 in Waverly, NY. He was a well driller with his father, George and he also operated heavy equipment, with a special love and talent for the grader, for the Town of Union and Mascerrelli Construction. He was a retired employee of IBM Corporation, retiring in 1994, and was employed as a maintenance man for the former IBM, Heritage and most recently, Traditions at the Glen Golf Course. He married Priscilla Wheeler on May 29, 1959 at the Endwell United Methoidst Church. He was a great rock and strength to our family. He will be forever in our hearts. He was very devoted to his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 2, 2007, at 3:00 P.M. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Susan Davis, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott, will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Arthritis Association, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
