Obituary of Gerald W. Bricker
Gerald W. Brickerof EndicottGerald W. Bricker, 76, passed away February 18, 2009 after a long, hard fought illness. Gerry graduated from U-E High School and served honorably in the United States Navy. He was a dedicated employee of NYNEX and retired after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Endicott BPO Elks. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and held a special place in his heart for Bill Dukerich, Walter, Steve and Dave Opie. He was predeceased by his father, Fancher; his mother, Birdella; and his brother, Thomas J. Bricker. He is survived by his sister, Jane B. Woodfield (husband, Harry C. Woodfield); brother, Donald F. Bricker and sister-in-law, Marie Bricker; his life partner, Donna Silvanic; son, Mark S. Bricker (wife, Mary E.); daughter, Eileen R. Nord and Tim J. Bricker, all children of Mary L. Bricker; his grandchildren, Nicholas J. and Lauren E. Bricker, Shannon T. and Sean D. Bricker, James A. Nord (Ashley), Amanda R. Nord, Melissa L. Burns (Jeremiah); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend, C.C.Calling hours will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009; a Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., immediately following. An interment service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday at Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, N.Y. 13850.
