Obituary of Thor K. Blomquist

Thor K. Blomquist Of Vestal Thor K. Blomquist, 58, of Vestal, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at the Bridgewater Nursing Center after an extended illness. He is predeceased by his mother, Phyllis Blomquist. He is survived by one daughter, Stacy A. Blomquist, Shawnee, Kansas; his father, Edgar Blomquist, Vestal; one brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Janie Blomquist, Roanoke, Va; one sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Paul Lantz, Vestal; two nephews, Eric and Jason Lantz, Vestal; also several aunts and cousins. Thor was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a 23 year employee of IBM Endicott. Thor will be missed by everyone who knew him. A special thank you to the staff at the Bridgewater Nursing Center for their compassionate care. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Michele Fischer, Pastor of the Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in Thors memory to the charity of their choice.
