Jamie Marie (nee Reese) Walsh, 48, of St. Louis, Mo, formerly of Endicott, NY, entered into the loving embrace of Our Lord surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 9, 2007. Jamie is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ruth Reese, Endicott, NY. She is survived by her beloved husband, Brian J. Walsh, St. Louis, Mo, formerly of Endicott, NY; her sisters, Shannon (Jim) Morehead, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robin (Tom) Hoyt, Albany, NY; her brother, John Reese, Syracuse, NY; her sisters-in-law, Maureen (Rocky) Oppito/Walsh, Binghamton, NY, Genevieve Ketchum/Walsh, Endicott, NY, Kathleen (Tony) Quaranta/Walsh, Apalachin, NY; her brother-in-law, Joseph E. (Joan) Walsh, St. Louis, MO/formerly of Endicott, NY; her paternal aunts, Jean Reese, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Hannah Beck/Reese; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Troy and Joya Millward, Matthew, David and Kathleen Hoyt, Robert, Amanda (Randis), Joe and Melyssa Oppito, Ryan, Christopher, Michael, Brendan, and Justin Ketchum, Anthony, Bridget, Edward, and Nicholas Quaranta, and Joseph and Grace Walsh. Jamie is also survived by Hope A. Baclig, a beloved family friend. Jamie had many passions in life. She cherished her work as a Medical Assistant with the Heart Care Institute Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. Jamie loved her work, had profound respect and admiration for her colleagues, and Jamie cared deeply for and touched the lives of the many cardiac patients with whom she came into contact. Jamie loved to travel. She and her husband traveled the world and lived in Hong Kong and Tokya for 6 years. Jamie adored her nieces and nephews, and delighted in even the smallest news of their accomplishments and activities. They were the light of her life.
A funeral mass will be offered Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc. 300 East Main St., Endicott, Friday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made on Jamies behalf to either: St. Louis Chapter Susan G.
