Obituary of June Malia

June M. (Cranmer) Malia Of Apalachin June M. (Cranmer) Malia of Apalachin died Friday, December 14 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands and one son and his wife: Gretchen (Richard) Boardman of Virginia Beach, VA; Valerie (Tim) Hardy of Manchester, NH; Colleen (Martin) Craig of Apalachin, NY; Wade Stalls (Jami) Phoenix, AZ. June is also survived by a sister, Doris Sackett, Apalachin; Nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; her very special cousin and her husband, Mariam and Lee Hottenstein. She was predeceased by her daughter, Rebecca (Stalls) Haines; her parents, Harold and Meyrl Cranmer and two brothers, Harold Jr. and Donald Cranmer. June graduated from Union Endicott High School and Robert Packer School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1942. She enlised in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII, having served in both Africa and Italy. June was very proud of her military service to our country and had a deep respect for all who served. She continued her nursing career at Ideal Hospital and in her house as a Family Care Home provider for many years. June was also a member of the American Bell Association and a Stephens Minister. Her passion in life was always to provide for those people who had a need. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Junes wishes are that you would make contributions to the Tioga County Rural Ministries or the Animal Care Council.
