Obituary of Mary Eddy

Mary E. Eddy Formerly of Endicott Mary E. Eddy, 86, of Endicott, passed away Saturday evening, December 15, 2007, at the Vestal Nursing Center. She was predeceased by a grandson, Brent Eddy. She is survived by three children, Barbara Oliver, Vestal, Dan and Kathy Eddy, Chenango Bridge, and Carol and Leon Powell. Windham Center, PA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Genevieve Hardy, Endicott, and Geraldine and Richard Nichols, San Jose, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a former employee of Endicott-Johnson and was a retired employee of IBM Owego with 30 years of service and a member of its Quarter Century Club. She was a member of the Vestal United Methodist Church. The family extends a special thank you to Carole Kelly, Priscilla Hanus, and Ceil Parent, and to the rest of the staff of the Vestal Nursing Center for their loving care of Mary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Michael Willis, Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 1:30. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903, or to the charity of ones own choice.
