Obituary of Leona Haus

Leona May (Watts) Haus Of Vestal Leona May (Watts) Haus, of Vestal, passed away on January 16, 2008 at the Vestal Nursing Center. She was born on August 12, 1926. She was predeceased by parents, Ernest and Lucy Watts, infant son, Frank Haus III; sister, Vivian Ball; sister and brother-in-law, Romeyn Cook; brothers, James and Jack Watts. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Haus; son, James D. Haus; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and William Kucera; granddaughter who she loved the mostest, Chenoa Kucera; sister, Shirley Watts; and sister and brother-in-law, MaryLou and Gerald Baird; sister-in-law, Peggy Watts Harrison and Frances Haus; and brother-in-law, George Fuller; many nieces and nephews; and her loving cat, Tinker. She was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School and was an employee of Remington Rand during WWII. She was a member of Vestal and Round Hill Chapter of the Eastern Star, former Jr. Deputy of Endicott Triangle #43 and was in the DeMolay mothers circle in the 60s. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved to watch her granddaughter play sports and rarely missed a game. She was the only grandmother to not miss any RIT softball games in 4 years. She enjoyed big family get togethers, especially Christmas Eve. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal. The Rev. Jose Valencia will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the aides and nurses in Magnolia and Willow for her care during her stay at the Vestal Nursing Center. Also a big thanks for the support and love from Mary S., Marge, Mary L. and Walt.
