Obituary of Joan C. Kennicutt

Joan C. Kennicutt of Vestal Joan C. Kennicutt, 76, of Vestal, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Collins I. and Margaret A. Clark; nephew, Dale A. Evans; brother-in-law, William C. Evans; brother and sister-in-law, Charles E. and Margie Kennicutt. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Boyd Kennicutt; son and daughter-in-law, Jon C. and Charlene R. Kennicutt, Apalachin; daughter, Lori B. Kennicutt and G. Michelle Mead, Endicott; sister, Marianne Evans, Vestal; nephews, Jay and Patricia Evans, Kyle and Lorene Evans, and Jeff Kennicutt; niece, Ellen Kennicutt; and several grandnieces and nephews. Joan had a profound love of birds and animals, especially her granddogs, "Sneakers" and "Black Jack". She was a retired bank teller and veterinary receptionist. She was an avid golfer and skier and received an Angel Award for service to Greek Peak Ski Patrol. Funeral services for Joan will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 4-7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to remember the Front Street Dog Shelter, 110 Cutler Pond Rd., Binghamton, 13905.
