Obituary of Thomas J Bricker

Thomas J. Brickerof Vestal Thomas J. Bricker, 61, of Vestal, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Birdella (Ovens) and D.F. "Jack" Bricker, and his father-in-law, David G. Spencer. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Spencer Bricker; as well as his sister and two brothers, Jane (Bud) Woodfield, Gerald (Donna) Bricker and Donald Bricker; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving him is the large extended family of Spencer in-laws who loved and adored him. Tom touched many lives and he will be in all of our hearts forever. Tom enjoyed his retirement time after 39 years at IBM. He loved to cook and enjoyed good food, wine, all kinds of music, and some gardening. He and Marie spent time at their camp on the St. Lawrence River where they enjoyed dining on the deck, boating and relaxing with their many dear friends. Tom was also a member of the Endicott Elks Lodge #1977 and a Past Exalted Ruler. The family wishes to thank the staff on 1 Ross at Lourdes Hospital for their compassionate and wonderful care of Tom. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 12th at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home at 765 Main St. in Vestal. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. and all are welcome to stay for his memorial service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lourdes Hospice at 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, N.Y. 13850.
