Obituary of Dorothy A. L. Paz

Dorothy Alice Louise (Palmer) Pazof Vestal Dorothy Alice Louise (Palmer) Paz, 92, of Vestal, passed away June 17, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, William Paz; and her great-grandson, Christopher Crampton. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Cohen, Vestal; her son and his wife, Lawrence and Mervyn Paz, Georgia; son-in-law, Robert Cohen, Endicott; daughter-in-law, Nancy Berlekovic, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Isabelle and Bernie Becker, Mass.; eight grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Dorothy retired with 25 years of service from Polaroid Corporation in Mass. She was active in her church in many ways through the years including committees, singing in the choir and creating needlepoint kneelers. She enjoyed volunteering at her local hospital, sewing with her grandchildren, doing puzzles and playing bridge with her friends. The family would like to thank those at Willow Point Nursing Home and Wilson Hospital for their help, kindness and compassion. Special thanks go to Gary, a beloved care giver through the years. Just the mention of his name brought a smile to her face. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Christ Episcopal Church, Henry St., Binghamton, at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Martinichio and Reverend Stephen Heiss officiating.
