Obituary of Nina B. Campbell

Heaven's gates have opened and the angels welcomed Nina B. (Card) Campbell into their loving embraces. On June 7, 2014 at 2:16 a.m., Nina went to be with her Lord and Savior and her family who had gone before her. Nina had suffered a month long illness that resulted in complications. Nina was surrounded by her family, friends and her pastor as she left this world. Nina was a native of Little Meadows, PA. Born and raised on a dairy farm, she married in 1949 to the love of her life, Samuel E. Campbell, who predeceased her on March 10, 2014. They were married for 64 years. Nina is also predeceased by her parents, George Card and Carrie (White) Card; her son, Robert William Campbell; and many sisters and brothers. Nina lived in Apalachin until moving to Vestal with her family, where she has lived for the last 6 ½ years. She was a member to the Community Baptist Church in Apalachin where she loved attending services and making lifelong friends. She is survived by her loving daughter, Shirley Weyant of Vestal, NY; her granddaughter, Nicole Weyant-Fisher and grandson-in-law, Michael Fisher. Also the little man who brightened all of her day, her great-grandson, Collin Fisher, who she loved spending time with. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Card) Sabbeto of Endicott and Beaulah (Card) Labasour of Endicott and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nina loved to garden and she raised many in her days, she enjoyed canning fruit and making pickles. She loved to work no matter what the task was and was always there to lend a hand to those in need, especially for her family and church. Wherever Nina was, you would see two things, her bible and her word search puzzles. Nina's extended family and friends, who she loved so dearly and spoke often of, came to be by her side on Wednesday, June 5, 2014 at her home to have an early birthday celebration which she will always cherish and hold dear. Not a day will go by where she will not be on our minds or in our hearts; she will live with us as we go on. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church, 1708 Main St., Apalachin, Pastor Jeremy J. Lundmark will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
