Obituary of Isabel J. Riechers

Isabel Riechers Isabel Riechers, 92, formerly of Vestal, NY, passed away peacefully, June 29, 2014 at Bridgewater Nursing Center. Isabel was born, March 1, 1922 in Crystal, ME to Jerome and Alice (Tucker) Fogg, a large hard working family of 11 children. Isabel married in 1949 in Auburn, ME to George H. Riechers, a dedicated Marine and always proud of serving his country. He was discharged in 1945, came home and met his beautiful Isabel who was always so special to him. George passed away October 2, 2010 at Vestal Nursing Center where Isabel was and remained until the flood of 2011 and was transferred to Bridgewater Nursing Center where she remained until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and many special friends. Isabel is survived by brothers, Herschel, Leon and Jason; sister, Freda; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Marion Tracy and family, Amanda Fisher, Bev and Lynn Hodges, Brenda and Tim Hayes and her Hope Congregational Church of Afton, NY family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St., Vestal. Pastor Maryann Palmetier and Pastor Ernie Stephensen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow in Vestal Park Cemetery.
