Obituary of John L. Rossi

Endicott: John L. Rossi, 90, of Endicott, went to be with the Lord and joined his wife in heaven Saturday, November 29, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Peg) in 2008 and his son, Ronald in 1972. He is survived by his children, James (Colleen) Rossi of Endicott, Gary (Sovila) Rossi of Vestal and Sharon Rossi of Endicott; four grandchildren, Jennifer, James Jr., Mark and Andrea; two great-grandchildren, Jaime and Maecy; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. John was a retired fireman and code enforcement officer with the Village of Endicott with 25 years of service. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army in the Western Pacific on Iwo Jima and was a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome. John enjoyed swimming, walking, fishing and gardening. The family would like to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospital and Willow Point Nursing Home for their loving care of John. A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 12 Noon from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Johnson City with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 10AM until service time at 12PM.
