Obituary of Catharine Ann Bates

Ann passed away peacefully on April 22, 2015. She was born in Dayton Ohio to William and Gwendoline Naylor. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and William. Her love lives on with her son, James, and his life partner, Karen. Her rottie, Freya and the cats who where her constant companions. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ann was a 1956 graduate from Cortland Teachers College. She enjoyed a long career in the local schools with many years at Tioga Hills Elementary where she often spoke fondly of her many students. Ann's love and unique sense of humor will be missed. A memorial celebration of her life will be celebrated at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Rout 434, Apalachin on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ann's name to a local animal shelter or animal rescue.
