Obituary of Wayne B VanInwegen
Wayne N. VanInwegen, 78, of Greene, NY, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary VanInwegen; his daughter, Myra and Simon Moore; grandchildren, Ellen and Luke Moore, Cambridge, England; his son, Bertrand VanInwegen, Endicott; stepdaughter, Rachel and Nick Parsons; stepson, Edward Knowles; step grandchildren, Abram and Justina Parsons, Robert Bertram all of Greene; his sister, Jeanne and Don Hammer, Ca.; Wayne was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, stepgrandfather, friend, neighbor and Philanthropist. He was in the Air Force. He went to Hawaii and often spoke about his experience there. He worked at GE, then Lockheed Martin. He loved life. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and cherished the time he had with them when they visited from England. He loved his step-grandchildren equally and enjoyed being a Grandpa. He loved mowing, gardening and keeping up with the weeds so the flowers were beautiful. He religously donated blood for many years. He loved to be active and couldn't help out his friends and neighbors enough. He also loved "Katie's Kitchen." He will be remembered for his big heart and missed by family and friends. Helping others, he always did this because it was the right thing to do. A Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E Main St., Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
