Obituary of Richard Canfield

Richard Canfield of Friendsville, PA Richard Canfield, 79, of Friendsville, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He is survived by his wife, Marie Canfield of Friendsville; sons, Alan and Lesa of Rome, PA, Pat Canfield and Irene Ackley of Vestal; grandchildren, Teri and Kevin Miller, Angela, Richard and Ann Canfield, and Mary Canfield; a sister, Dorothy Decker of Vestal; brother, Edward and Jean Canfield of Burlington, WI; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Leona Canfield; and his brother, Robert Canfield. He was a machinist for 40 years with the K. Hein Co., Vestal, and served with the U.S. Army. The funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, NY. The Rev. William Prentice, Pastor of the Campville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
