Bogart, Samuel L. of Vestal/Endwell 1-14-1938 to 7-3-2015
Samuel Lee Bogart went to be with God on July 3, 2015. He was a loving spouse to his predeceased wife, Beverly J. Bogart. He is survived by his wife, Joanne M. Bogart; five daughters, Carrie (Mark) Lusk, Mary-Jo (Bill) Wilson, Kathy (Andy) Harlec, Robin (Lenny) Barber, Terri (Rich) Gorick; and stepchildren, Tom (Patty) Blackman, O.B. Blackman and Laura Blackman. He was blessed with multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and those he loved and raised as his own. He leaves behind a sister, Elma (Charlie) Wells and two brothers. He graduated and retired after 27 years from the Vestal School System, was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962, a member of Endwell United Methodist Church, the Johnson City Unity Lodge #970 and the Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Binghamton. He loved fishing, bowling, camping, and golf, but family was always first. He will be missed more than words can say. The family will receive friends at Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd. Endwell, on Thursday July 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. Pastor Mark D. Kimpland will officiate. A Celebration of Life will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Upstate Medical Center, https://www.foundationforupstate.org, in memory of Samuel Lee Bogart.
