Obituary of Frank W. Scales

Frank W. Scales 78 of Endicott, died Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Scales; his brother, John Scales; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Jay Anderson; his wife of 50 years, Linda; his grand dog, Cuddles; and special friends, Buddy and Esther Mule. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Scales of Endicott; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lori Scales of Attleboro, MA; and his special grandchildren, Joseph and Sarah Scales of Attleboro, MA; sister, Priscilla Crabtree of Niagara Falls, NY; sister-in-law, Shirley Scales; and his special neighbors, Gerald and Dottie Fuller. Frank was a lifelong resident of Endicott where he graduated from Union Endicott High School and attended Broome Tech. He worked at NYSEG as a draftsman for 31 years. He was a caddy for 25 years at the Binghamton Country Club, a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Army Reserves. Frank was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott where he was president of the finance committee and trustees, an usher for 25 years and worked at the chicken BBQ at the church and attended to the care of mowing the lawn at the church. He liked to golf and cook on his grill and enjoyed mowing his lawn and making spaghetti dinners for his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00p.m. from the First United Methodist Church, 53 McKinley Ave., Endicott. The Rev. Lea Harding will officiate. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery where Military honors will be provided. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 12 noon until service time at 1:00.
