Obituary of Dorothy M. Brown

Dotty Brown, 90, of Campville, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed into eternal rest Thursday, July 9, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Brown, sister Rosemary Webster and several in-laws. She is survived by her children; Nancy Shaw, Vestal, and Gregory Brown, Campville, grandchildren; Sandra Flack, Westmoreland, NY, and Kelly Ford and her husband Jason, Ashburn, VA, great grandchildren; Danielle Flack, Alexis Flack, Skyler Ford, David Ford and Zachary Ford, brother-in-law, Calvin Brown, CA, sister-in-law, Leona Brown, Glen Aubrey, also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Dotty loved golfing, bowling, reading, cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She was a member of Campville United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 89. The family will receive friends at the Campville United Methodist Church, 6110 Rt. 17C, Campville, NY on Thursday July 23, 2015 at 3 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor William C. Prentice officiating. A dinner will be served in the fellowship hall following the service. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Section 2, on Friday July 24, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dotty can be made to the Memorial Fund of Campville United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association, 401 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
