Obituary of Dorothy A. Catlin
Dorothy A. Catlin, 85, formerly of Bradley Creek Rd., Union Center passed away at her daughter's home on October 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Stanley R. Catlin and her brother, William Carmon. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and George Cosler, Morristown, NY, Sandra and William Tripp, Crystal River, FL; three grandchildren, Douglas Cosler, Kevin Cosler and Joanna Ahmadian; two great grandsons, Evan Cosler and Brody Cosler and one great granddaughter, Arianna Ahmadian. Dorothy is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Norma (Bruce) Taylor, Lawrence (Betty) Carmon, Walter (Patsy) Carmon, Dana (Sandra) Carmon, Wanda Holt and Patricia (Victor) Hilts. She is also survived by many loving friends, nephews and nieces. Dorothy was a member of the Whittemore Hill United Methodist Church. She was a "Snowbird" for 20 years. The family would like to thank the Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley for the wonderful care and support they provided so Dorothy could remain in her daughter's home. The family will receive friends and family at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott NY, Saturday, October 17. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm with a memorial service 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Hospice of the St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Highway 11, Potsdam, NY 13676 or the Whittemore Hill United Methodist Church, 1349 Whittemore Hill Rd., Owego, NY 13827.
