Obituary of Anna M. Karban
Anna M. (Heath) Karban, 92, passed away peacefully with her son by her side at Bridgewater Nursing Home on March 2, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary; brothers, Paulie, Charlie and Pete; sisters, Olga Lane and Leda Kostyun; grandson, Danny Nickerson. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Steve) Frazier, John (Kathy) Heath, Geraldine (Joe) Ferlazzo, and Norma Bernstein. Her grandchildren; Denise, Jennifer, Brad, Lori, Matthew, great grandchildren, Cody, Brittany, Rebecca, Michael and Steven Jr.; and sister, Florence Van Doorn. Her parents immigrated to the United States from Russia. Mom was a very hard worker and had a deep love for this country. She was a very patriotic person, lifelong supporter of the veterans and the American Flag. Her children were her life. She was a wonderful mother, a great cook and loved the outdoors. She worked for the Binghamton Psychiatric Center for 30 years. We would like to thank the 5th Floor Staff at Bridgewater for not only their professional care, but also their loving and compassionate care of mom over the years. Also, our gratitude to Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Annie's name to the charity of one's choice .
