Obituary of Betty J. McCarty

Betty J. McCarty, 90, of Endicott, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Wilson Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Donovan McCarty and her sister, Florence Benjamin. She is survived by her two daughters, Allene Shipman and Janet Chaffee; two sons and a daughters-in-law, Donovan McCarty and Kathleen Walsh, Joel and Carmen McCarty; grandson, Billy McCarty and several nieces and nephews. Betty was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Endicott. She retired from Wilson Hospital and was a resident of Ideal Senior Living Center Skilled Nursing Facility. Funeral Services will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St. Endicott on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Care Council, 131 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 in memory of Betty.
