Obituary of Herbert G. Hall

Herbert G. Hall of Port Crane, NY passed away on May 12, 2016 at the age of 95; also a long time resident of Vestal Center, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Floyd & Ethel Hall; son Richard Hall; son-in-law William Salisbury; daughter-in-law Mary-Ellen Hall; sisters Genevieve Spink, Jerry Hall, Esther White, and Arlene Hamilton; and brother Gordon Hall. He is survived and loved by his wife of 74 years, Louise Hall; son Leonard Hall of Wyoming DE; daughters Marsha Salisbury of Otto, NY and Donna (Linden) Riley of Port Crane, NY. He also leaves behind his sister Wanda Macura of Granville, NY; grandchildren Christopher (Amber) Hall of DE; Michael (Ellie) Hall of DE: Andrew and Alison Hall; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Herb retired from General Electric in 1983 after 40 years of service where he was an accomplished machinist. He was an avid sportsman, gardener, Yankees baseball fan and enjoyed feeding backyard birds. There wasn't anything Herb couldn't build or fix. He had a wonderful sense of humor with a smile and laugh that warmed our hearts. His presence will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 15 at 1:00pm at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home on Main St. in Vestal, NY, with Revered David C. Seaver officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lourdes Hospital Foundation, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
