Obituary of Carolyn O. Heeter

Carolyn O. Heeter, 102, of Apalachin, went to be with the Lord on Monday June 27, 2016 at Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Dale Heeter, in 1974, her son Bill Heeter, grandson, Mark Heeter, brother, John Backman and sister-in-law Leah Backman. She is survived by her children; Robert & Janice Heeter, Shirley & Robert Metera, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Apalachin United Methodist Church, worked with scouting and was known for her pies and cookies. She enjoyed bowling, crafts and gardening. Funeral services will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Rt. 434, Apalachin, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn to the Apalachin United Methodist Church or to the Riverside Cemetery Association, Apalachin.
