Obituary of Richard C. Purdy

Purdy, Richard C. (Digger)Richard C. Purdy (Digger), of Vestal, passed away on July 27, 2016 at his home. Richard was born on September 27, 1960 in Johnson City, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Inez Purdy. Richard is survived by brothers and sisters, Raymond (Barbara) Purdy Sr., Robert Purdy, Bridget Purdy, Bonita Purdy, Beth (Bruce) Russell, Barbara Adsit, Brenda (Seth) Striley, and Bernice (Jeffrey) Aspling. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was an avid gardener and loved his dogs, Lacey and Maggie. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 729 Main St., Vestal, from 4:00-5:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm.
