Obituary of Michael Chreptak
Michael Chreptak, 76, was reunited with God and his mother, father, and several family members on August 29, 2016.He was lovingly surrounded by his children and loved ones as he peacefully took his last breath. Michael was predeceased by his parents: Catherine and Michael and his brothers: John and Adam. He is survived by his siblings: Mary, Steve, Fannie, Rose, Eva, Cathy, Anne, Paulene, Pat, Paul, and Susan, children from his marriage to Pat: Michael, Charles, Kevin, Laura, and Shari, and grandchildren: Brianna, Madelyn, and Isaiah. His family will remember Michael as a devoted father with unexplainable strength, courage, and determination. Second to his family, he enjoyed the simplest, yet most meaningful things in life such as music, laughter, the outdoors, health, and to be surrounded by friends and family. He dedicated over 35 years to the community as an amazing teacher and wrestling coach at Whitney Point and Maine-Endwell schools. Running numerous races and marathons was one of many ways he displayed his strength, determination, and passion for life. We would like to extend their gratitude to the endless list of people who cared for our father, especially Maggie, the staff at Good Shepard, and the PCU team at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760 on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4pm- 7pm. A funeral service and burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery (Troy, PA) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016.
