Obituary of Donald R. Merrin

Donald R. Merrin, 94, of Vestal, went to be with the lord Monday November 14,2016. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Betty Jane, his daughter Barbara Davis, and son Lonny Lee, also his companion Sylvia Bleier, and other family members to numerous to mention. He is survived by his 2 daughters Shirley Smith of Vestal, and Marcia Johnson of Owego. Several Grand Children, Great Grand Children, and Great Great Grand Children. Sister Nancy Merrin of Ocala Florida, several nieces and nephews and longtime friends & companions he met along the way. Donald was a life member of the NRA, and enjoyed his camp at Senaca Lake, and loved the great outdoors.Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11AM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 765 Main St, Vestal. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:30AM until service time at 11. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of ones choice.
