Obituary of Marjorie Mae Boyer
Marjorie Mae (Labardee) Boyer, 81, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017 at Good Shepherd Fairview Home, Binghamton, after a long battle with Kidney Disease. Marjorie was born on March 16, 1936 in Erie, Michigan. She is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Dale Boyer on August 27, 2016; her parents, Dale & Geraldine Labardee; brother, Ronald; and niece, Laura Labardee. Also, predeceased by good friends, Mary Lou Henkel, Mary Mahar, Sandy Gooding, and Nancy Kearney. She is survived by their five children, Kelan Boyer (California), Julie (Dominic) Cristofari (Binghamton), Wendy (James) Markham (North Carolina), Mary Boyer (Rochester, NY), and Sally (James) Herceg (Endwell); grandchildren, Matthew and David Markham and spouses, Justine Arritt and spouse; Nicolette Geier, Lindsay Daniel, and Aubrey Donovan and spouses, Gabriel Cristofari, Noelle Herceg, Lucie Herceg, and Michael Herceg; eight great grandchildren; sister Carol, and Bob Berman; brother-in-law; brother-in-law, Adelore and Donna Boyer; sister-in-law, Claudia Labardee; and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by good friends, Barbara Richardson, Barbara Antosik, Lee Lanois, and Marge Rinehart.
Marjorie grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. After High School graduation, she was employed as a young secretary at the Ford Motor Company. She married Ronald D. Boyer on August 6,
1955 and moved to Endicott, NY in 1963 following her husband's IBM career change. Marjorie was active in many clubs and organizations with countless hours of volunteering. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church in Endicott and more recently at St. Mary's - St. Paul's Church in Binghamton. Marjorie was blessed with many talents including sewing, decorating, cooking, and gardening. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She had a great love for her pets, carousels, and a special devotion to flower gardening. A joint visitation for both Marjorie and Ronald will be held on Friday, April, 7, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, 607-785-0411 and from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at St. Joseph's Church before the Funeral Mass. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, 2500 E. Main St., Endwell. Flowers are welcome or a memorial contribution in Marjorie's name to the American Diabetes Association , National Kidney Foundation , Broome County Humane Society, Buy a Brick on the Binghamton Walk, Alzheimer's Association , or the Endicott Library.
