Obituary of Cynthia H. Wetjen
Cynthia H. Wetjen, 83, formerly of Endicott, NY passed on May 27, 2017 while residing at United Methodist Homes, Hilltop Campus. She is survived by Martha and Roger Wick; Philip, Masumi, Andrew, Elizabeth Wetjen; Suzanne, Nicholas, Jared, Rena Pazienza; David, Kimberly, Brendan, Dalia Wick; Marsha and Cyndy Goodenow; Kathie and Steve Richmond; Ryan and Evan Franklin. Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Wetjen; parents, Edith and Arthur Harwood; and brother, Donald Goodenow. Cynthia attended Union Endicott Schools before graduating from Russell Sage College to begin her career as an Elementary Teacher in the Maine Endwell School System until her retirement. She was an avid reader and a talented quilter. She was a past member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames 17th Century (Captain Henry Hudson Chapter), former member of Daughters of the American Revolution, member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. We would like to thank the Staff at J. G. Johnston Unit 2 for their exemplary care of Cindy. We appreciate you making her smile, laugh and helping her make it "home" for the last 4 ½ years. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St, Endicott, NY 13760 from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral Services will immediately follow.
