Obituary of Vernon Carmon
Endicott - Vernon Carmon of Endicott passed away on January 8, 2018 at the age of 93 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Vernon was born March 19, 1924 in Endicott, New York. Vernon was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Emily(Layaou) Carmon, first wife Josephine(Sedlak), second wife Pauline(Micha), brother Albert and sister-in-law Muriel(Clark) Carmon, sisters and brothers-in-law Erma and Eber Clark, Gladys and Steve Mills, Thelma and Stan Randall, Christine Eames and Eva Carmon. Vernon is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Vernon and Ann Marie(Valence) Carmon, Endwell, NY, James and Helene(Scharf) Carmon, Port Jefferson, NY and daughter and son-in-law Linda and Aric Gardner, Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews. Vernon is survived by his companion Virginia Jones. Vernon was a World War II Navy veteran from all theaters of war. He was a past Post Commander of V.F.W. 1449, past New York State Commander in the Military Order of the Cooties and a Member of American Legion Post 1700. Vernon retired from G.A.F. Ozalid. He was the chief shipper at Ozalid. He worked there for 35 years. He also worked for Endicott Johnson Corporation for 14 years before going to Ozalid. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E.
