Obituary of Robert A. Dorio
Endicott - Robert A. Dorio, 83, known to friends and family as Bob, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018 after an 18 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob was predeceased by his parents Veto and Cora Dorio and his sister Betty Dorio. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Thomas Dorio and his children and their families: Janet and Cort Martin of Sarasota, FL; Steven and Denise Dorio of Molalla, OR; John and Anne Dorio of Marcellus, NY and five grandchildren: Nicole, Eric, Craig, Dayton and Lilly Dorio. He was born in Buffalo, NY November 8th, 1934. He graduated from Williamsville High School in 1952 and graduated from the Buffalo Radio Institute in 1953. Bob enlisted in the US Army in 1957 for a tour of three years, serving in a HQ unit and working as an instructor of electronics. He worked 28 years in many varied roles for IBM and retired as Advisory Programmer from Endicott, NY. He enjoyed building and remodeling, music, computer technology, and genealogy. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star of Maine, NY and was a former Master Mason. He was an accomplished wood carver and active member of the local wood carvers club for many years. Bob and his family were longtime active members of Central United Methodists Church in Endicott, NY.
