Obituary of Harold Keck

Harold E. Keck of Endwell Harold E. Keck, 85, of Endwell, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane and is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Leonard) and Bob Vavrina, Binghamton; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Michelle Keck, Endicott; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Dafna, Adam and Melissa Leonard and Kimberly and Scott Bealla, Steven Keck and Tamara Steele; also six great-granddaughters. He is also survived by a very special friend, Marion Steele and her family. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and retired from I.B.M. Endicott after 42 years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a lifelong member and past commander of the American Legion Post #89 and was a member of the V.F.W. and the Last Man's Club. He also was a 35 year employee of Shangri La Speedway in Owego. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, with the Rev. Daniel Ling of the Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday evening from 4 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
