Obituary of Scott C. Daniels

Vestal - Scott C. Daniels, 55, of Vestal, New York passed away on Tuesday April 24, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Jodi Daniels; his parents, Harry and Joyce Daniels, sister, Margaret (Meg) Daniels, and his four-legged children, Shelby and Sassy. He is predeceased by his sister, Kathy Daniels and by Nanny and Pop-Pop, Kate and Burt Potter. Scott also had many close friends and relatives. He was born on January 30, 1963, in Vestal, and graduated from Vestal Senior High School in 1981. Shortly after he graduated, he began working with his father at Daniels Backhoe Service, servicing the Southern Tier and Northeast PA. Scott enjoyed spending his summers with family and friends at Sandy Pond, his winters snowmobiling at Old Forge, and his Sundays as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. One of his greatest memories was meeting Hall of Famers Jerome Bettis, and Franco Harris, along with former Head Coach Bill Cowher. Scott lived life with an unmatched zeal and had an uncanny ability to brighten any day - no matter the circumstances. His one of a kind laugh and charisma will be greatly missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at Broome Oncology and all the staff on Ross 1 for the special care that they gave to Scott. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St. Vestal. Funeral services will be held Friday April 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Coleman & Daniels, with burial at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Brackney, PA.
