Obituary of William C Hanzalik

William C. Hanzalik of Greene, NY, passed away with his family by his side in Endicott, NY, on August 31, 2018. He was born July 13, 1941, in Binghamton NY to the late William and Beatrice Hanzalik and was predeceased by his brother Douglas Hanzalik. After graduating from Union Endicott High School in 1960, Bill joined the USA Navy. Bill spent many years in automobile sales in this area. He was passionate about politics, sailing, the Navy, history, and his family. Bill was a go-to person for any of his grandchildren who had a history paper to do. He was well-known for his witty sense of humor. Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen Hanzalik, brother David (Camille) Hanzalik, and sisters Judy Haines, Patricia Hanzalik, and Debbie Hanzalik. He is also survived by his sons William (Gabriella) Hanzalik, David (Therese) Salerno, his daughters Lori (Jeff) Morgan, Lisa Davies (Dr. John Cruz), Tammy Drost (Glen Ryburn), and Charlcie Hanzalik. Bill has seven grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-granddaughter. He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved very much. They were the lights of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or Veterans Mission 22. Viewing hours will be from 10:00 - 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 4 at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY. Funeral Services immediately follow with burial in Maine Cemetery, Maine, NY.
