Obituary of Marion H Bogaczyk

Marion H. Bogaczyk Marion H. Bogaczyk, age 80, of Vestal, NY, passed away unexpectedly September 2, 2018. Preceeded in death by her parents, Stanley & Helen (Zapotocky) Slezak of Binghamton, NY. Survived by her three children John Bogaczyk (Debby), Steve Bogaczyk (Sue), Donna Rutkowski (Jerry), daughter-in-law Kelly Bogaczyk, and her six grandchildren: Katie Alissa (Sam), Serena Lester (Matt), Sam Bogaczyk, Ryan, Justin, and Evan Rutkowski; also, many extended family and friends. Marion retired as an Executive Secretary from New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) in 1994. She lived out her years in retirement doing what she loved most; spending time with her beloved family, cheering on Syracuse basketball, and reading her novels. Marion will be most remembered and revered as a kind and selfless woman who put others' needs above her own. She especially enjoyed seeing her two granddaughters recently get married, and supporting her grandchildren's activities and milestones. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. Her life will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5th. A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal, NY. Burial will be at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Binghamton, NY. The family will receive friends at the Church Wednesday morning from 10 am until service time at 11 am.
