Obituary of Shirley Mae Nord

Vestal - Shirley Mae (Eldredge) Nord, 86, of Vestal, passed away on Saturday September 1, 2018 at Vestal Park Nursing Home after suffering many years with dementia. She joins the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, James Andrew Nord, Jr., who predeceased her in 2013. She was also predeceased by her parents, Earl and Thirma Eldredge, her brother, Bob, and sisters, Pearl Ann DeMarco and Betty Jean Cole. She is survived by her children; James (Christine) Nord, Debbie (Rich) Counts, Cindy Nord (Vern Tyrrell), Wendy (Leo) Cunningham, Richard (Lori) Nord, grandchildren; Amanda, Melissa, James, Michael, Jessica, Kira, Kyle, Jason, Kelly, Cody and Savannah, 4 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Larry, Richard and Bill Eldredge, her sister, Charlotte Campbell, and her sister-in-law, Carol Weber. Shirley was a Registered Nurse working most of her career at Wilson-UHS Hosptial. Shirley and her husband Jim owned and operated The Old Country Store Antiques in Greene, NY for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family on Petonia Lake, traveling in their RV and spending winters in Florida. Funeral services will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, on Thursday at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers please hug and kiss your loved ones.
