Obituary of Helen Jephson

Endicott - Helen R Jephson 86, of Endicott, was called home by the lord on Saturday September 29,2018 after a short stay at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell. She was predeceased by her parents William C Gietz and Antoinette S Gietz, her brother William A. Gietz, and her son James S Jephson. Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years James S Jephson, her son John Jephson, and 5 grandchildren Dean, Brent, Lee, Chris, Jack and 1 great grandchild Conner. Daughter-in-law Brenda St Jacque, and a niece Nancy McMath, and 2 cousins Bev Hoffman and Charlotte Schmidt. Helen had many friends from the First Presbyterian Church in Endicott, as well at the Binghamton Boating Club where she spent many happy days on the shore of Seneca Lake. She loved to travel and visit most of the US, as well as Europe, but mostly Helen enjoyed Alaska. When she was no longer helping the boys full time, she went to work in a card shop in Owego, where she used her love of greeting cards to help others. Helens family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Village for their loving care of Helen. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 11AM at the First Presbyterian Church 29 Grant Ave, Endicott. The Revs Janice and Timothy Devine will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Endicott at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Church Thursday from 10AM until service time at 11. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the memorial fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott.
