Obituary of John Elliot Vanderburg

John E. Vanderburg Endicott - John E. Vanderburg, 99, of Endicott, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mildred Vanderburg; wife and mother of Nancy, Ruth (Snyder) Vanderburg; his second wife, Bernice (Carden) Vanderburg; brothers, Ben and Ralph Vanderburg; and son-in-law, Bill Major. John is survived by his daughter, Nancy Major; step-daughter, Barbara (Armand) Olevano, step-son, Gary (Rosemary) Carden; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. John served in the U.S. ArmyInfantry Division during WWII, stationed in France and German; and retired from IBM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Pastor Mark Marino will officiate. Burial will follow in Scott Valley Cemetery in Montdale, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
