Obituary of Irene D Dunham

Sun City West, Arizona - Irene D Dunham, 87, of Sun City West, AZ, formerly from Endicott, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2018. She is survived by her son Kraig; daughter, Denise and spouse, Melanie; grandchildren, Camille (Tylor Tatusko), Danielle, Brendon, Pierce and Bryce along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, George W Dunham, parents John & Margaret Breckner, sisters Mary Thomas, Helen Fearnley and brother George Breckner. Irene graduated from Vestal High School and worked as a secretary for IBM. Irene dedicated her life to God and volunteering. Irene was devout in her faith, a member of the Christian Women's Club, Union Center United Methodist Church and Church Choir. She was recognized by Meals on Wheels for 40 years of service. She was adoringly called "The Purple Lady" due to her passion for the color purple. Upon retirement Irene and George balanced their time between the Florida Keys, St. Lawrence River, a home in Endicott and traveling abroad. Family would like to thank Jamie Friar-Kelly, Cathy Dillenbeck and Betsy Twomey for their love, support and care given to Irene and family. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Irene's family Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 10:00-10:30 am at Coleman and Daniels 300 E Main St, Endicott, NY 13760. Funeral service will be from 10:30 am to 11 am. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, NY following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Irene's name to Alzheimer's Association, Desert Southwest, 1028 East McDowell Road Phoenix, AZ 85006-2622.
